As we head into the last month of the year, we wanted to talk to all of you about some of the amazing things we've been up to and where we are heading.
As many of you know, Move Me Poetry has transitioned into a nonprofit organization. Our goal has always been to give back to our beautiful community so becoming a nonprofit was a natural next step. Every nonprofit has a mission statement that identifies what that organization is about. Here's ours:
"Providing poets with opportunities to grow through connection, education, and communication."
We have exciting plans for the future like actual in-person events, scholarships, and mentorship programs to help you wherever you are in your writing journey! Of course, all of that will take some time to build, but in the interim, we thank you for being part of this dream to keep the love of poetry alive one connection at a time, as none of this would be possible without all of you~
We would like to welcome all of you to your new board of directors. Each of these individuals donate their own time and resources because they believe in Move Me's vision and want to see each of you succeed.

We are currently working with St. Joseph's Convent School, Bathinda Punjab in India by providing their students with hands-on experience with the writing process. Students were given instructions on submission requirements and have until November 30th to submit. Those selected for publication will be notified December 12th and will receive exposure on our website and newsletter. We are so impressed with the submissions we've received so far and can't wait to share their amazing poetry with all of you soon!!!
If you are interested in partnering with us in the future, please reach out to contact@movemepoetry.com for more information.
Current Publication Opportunities
In the future, we will start providing a list of current publishing opportunities available to all of you, free of charge. For now, you are always welcome to make an account on Medium and request to be added as a writer for us there.
We provide all poets with free editing services and work towards helping showcase your work as best as possible. We currently provide exposure on Twitter, though Tres will soon be expanding select poems to the rest of our social medias.
Finding Your Voice Book Status
Accepted submissions were announced in September with contracts sent out in October. We are still awaiting the return of all contracts so please be sure to check your junk mail. If you received an acceptance email but did not receive a follow-up email with the contract information, please send us an email to the above-mentioned address.
We have a projected release date of Fall 2023.
Calling All Movers: Change Starts With You

Finally, we want to open up more opportunities for each of you to shine! If you are interested in writing up a post for our Self-Care Sundays, have a poetry form you'd like to see taught, or have a suggestion you'd like to see integrated to help bring our community together, send us a DM on Twitter or email us!
As we've said before, without you, we cease to exist! So, know that we thank you for being part of this community!!
For those who wish to help with operating expenses and providing future sustainability, you can donate below. We should have our tax-exempt status approved soon.
